As a wellbeing retreat, we’re all about following your Bliss and we know that sometimes that may just be sipping on a fruity cocktail overlooking a beautiful Balinese beach.
We get it! So we’ve hand-picked some of our favourite Bali Beach Bars where you can eat, relax, and soak up your surroundings.
The Lawn – Canggu
The Lawn (image above) doubles as a great spot for a day in the sun or a night out dancing to your favourite DJ tunes. Located on Batu Bolong Beach in Canggu, The Lawn is where to go when you want to unwind. Your options are endless with large umbrellas propped up on synthetic green grass, beach loungers on the beach deck; or swimming in an infinity pool. The food menu is well priced and consists of a variety of cocktails and drinks. This has become the favourite for locals, expats and is definitely the place to be.
Finn’s Beach Club – Canggu
Finn’s Beach Club is the perfect place to sunbathe in the Balinese sun whilst watching the surf, relaxing on sun loungers and swimming in the pool. It’s a very popular spot and is the place to be when you want to meet new people. Finns Beach Club has a restaurant and bar, with a DJ playing chillout tunes from noon. This is a great venue for cocktails whilst watching the sun set in the distance. A minimum spend of 400 000 IDR/40 dollars on food and drinks is required to secure a sun lounger.
La Laguna – Canggu
For a rustic experience, La Laguna is where you want to go. Nestled away from busy Bali, you’ll enjoy a Spanish inspired, boho-chic beach club with beachfront views and a delectable food and drink menu. This is not your average beach bar. You’ll feel like you’re in another world when you step into La Laguna. From their cobbled paths to gypsy inspired decor, you’ll wonder if you’re still in Bali; but you’ll instantly be reminded as you gaze upon a beautiful Balinese shoreline and enjoy traditional Balinese food.
La Brisa – Canggu
Located on Echo Beach in Canggu, is La Brisa - a beautifully unique venue made entirely of old fisherman boats. La Brisa translates to ‘sea breeze’, which captures the ‘fisherman village’ vibe this spot radiates. The menu at La Brisa is a seafood lovers dream and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The venue also includes a pool for when you want to cool down, bean bags, outdoor seating and loungers overlooking the ocean. La Brisa is great for an afternoon sun session, or to view the sun setting over the horizon.
Potato Head Beach Club – Seminyak
For a more upscale experience, you’ll want to visit Potato Head. Potato Head is one of the coolest, hippest spots to be in Seminyak - there’s a bar area, restaurant, lawn with sun loungers and an infinity pool and swim-up bar overlooking the ocean. Potato Head is a full day experience where you can soak up the sun, listen to the newest music and watch as day turns to night, while you enjoy Bali’s renowned beautiful sunsets.
Potato Head is one of Seminyak’s most luxurious venues. It’s a great spot for people to show off the newest fashion and swimwear, especially if you’re able to attend one of their special events or parties. Sun loungers have a minimum spend of 500 000 IDR/ 50 dollars but can accommodate up to 5 people. Booking aren’t available so it’s best to arrive around 10am. Food and drinks can be pricey but for a lush day out at Potato Head it’s worth the extra cost.
La Plancha – Seminyak
La Plancha offers a truly unique Balinese experience and is exactly where you should go for a low-key afternoon in the sun. Relax on brightly coloured bean bags and enjoy the surrounding sounds of laughter and waves crashing on the shore. Treat yourself to a cocktail and sink into a bean bag and you’re all set. And if you’re lucky there’ll be local live music to take you on a magical Balinese journey.
Sundays Beach Club – Uluwatu
Sundays Beach Club is where you want to go for an all around memorable experience. You’ll first arrive at the top of a cliff where you’ll hop in a cable car, and journey down to heavenly white sand and aquamarine waters. You’ll feel completely at peace whilst visiting this picturesque paradise. Chill out to relaxing tunes and watch as the day turns to night with good company and delicious drinks.
For an entrance fee of 300 000 IDR, you can enjoy 150 000 IDR worth of food and drinks, beach lounges, bean bags, snorkel equipment and stand up paddle boards.
Jungle Fish – Ubud
If you’re looking for a jaw-dropping, mind-blowing beauty, Jungle Fish, is the place for you. Nestled between the forest in Ubud is a crystal clear infinity pool with sun loungers and restaurant made for a decadent day out. An entry fee of 150 000IDR/ 15 dollars is required, which pays for a sun lounger and towel. Food and drinks are pricey but the experience is worth splashing out!
